Web design in Dülmen, inside the pull of two conurbations
Dülmen is the largest town in the Coesfeld district and sits 25 minutes by car from Münster. Both decide what your website is up against and who ends up reading it.
Dülmen sits on the A43 between Münster and the Ruhr and has two motorway junctions of its own. Münster is a good 25 minutes away, Recklinghausen about 30. Convenient, with a flip side for choosing a supplier: businesses in Dülmen take their agency from Münster as a matter of course, and the density of good studios there is high. We compete in a crowded field here and do not pretend otherwise.
The local economy is more industrial than the Münsterland image suggests. The largest employer in town makes drive technology and has around 430 staff; add a world market leader in vibrating machinery for bulk materials and the research centre of a Norwegian fertiliser group. For firms like these a website is not a sales channel but a screening instrument: buyers and applicants read it before they pick up the phone.
At the same time Dülmen is growing as a home for commuting families, with more than 200 new building plots across several districts. Those newcomers know nobody locally, so they genuinely search instead of asking a neighbour. This is where Dülmen differs from the rest of the western Münsterland: for trades and construction the website here is more often the first stop than the second.
Dülmen in numbers
- Size
- With around 48,000 residents and 185 km², the largest town in the Coesfeld district by both population and area
- Transport
- Two junctions of its own on the A43, open since 1981, plus the B67 and B474; hourly rail services towards Münster and Dortmund
- Industry
- Drive technology, vibrating machinery and mineral fertiliser: several world-market niches in one town, plus a corporate research centre
- Wild horses
- Around 400 Dülmen wild horses in the 360-hectare Merfelder Bruch; the round-up on the last Saturday in May draws some 15,000 visitors to the town
Borken to Dülmen is about 36 kilometres via Reken, roughly 35 minutes. In driving time that puts Dülmen closer to us than some towns in our own district, even though it belongs to the Coesfeld district. On-site meetings are straightforward; we do not claim this puts us ahead of a studio in Münster that covers the same distance in less time.
What makes the difference here
Drive technology and machinery
Suppliers to industrial trucks, agricultural and construction machinery sell on data sheets, certificates and named contacts. The site has to convince technical purchasing, not the managing director, and those are two different texts.
B2B Websites for Manufacturing 2026 - Specs Over SentimentTrades and building services
The new housing areas bring demand from people who do not yet know a tradesperson locally. What decides it is whether a visitor can see in two clicks whether you do new builds or existing properties, and whether you have any capacity left at all.
Websites for Plumbing and Heating Firms: Two Customers, One SiteHospitality and retail
A town with one date a year that brings in some 15,000 extra visitors has a seasonal curve most websites simply ignore. To benefit you have to be visible in March, not in the week before the round-up.
